Amy opened the meeting at 10:35.
TRUSTEES: Amy and Phyllis said they need to have information regarding what we have available to pay a part-time minister when a candidate is presented to us.
Ora requested the chance to buy the barrister bookcase from the parsonage. Dee made a motion that when Ora leaves, the church give the bookcase to her. Dick seconded the motion. The motion passed. Ora expressed her gratitude and thanks.
Jeff reported on the workday. There are a few odds and ends left to do. Jeff said he hoped to get to those this week.
WON TEAM: Dee reported on Lighthouse. Things are planned through June 9th, but we still need teachers, helpers and snack volunteers. Dee asked that someone else coordinate it in July and August and she would pick it up again in the fall.
Dee then asked for (and received) permission to hang up a pledge sheet for the Relay for Life in July in Cortez. She will be walking with a team in memory of Pat Garcia.
VBS – Ora showed items related to the curriculum for this year’s Vacation Bible School. There is not yet a coordinator for this year. The school is scheduled June 21-25. This year’s theme is “Hero’s Quest.”
