Clay opened the meeting at 11:20 after committees met.
PPR Committee: Gwen H. reported on a proposal to hire a nursery attendant. A job description, pay and the cost of a background check were generally discussed. Dee B. moved to begin a search for a nursery attendant to be paid at $20 per Sunday for an hour and a half each Sunday (8:45010:15). Linda W. seconded. Motion passed.
Trustees: Linda W. reported on a glass door for the nursery. Brad G. has offered one.
Linda then reported on progress on planning the memorial walk and various small repair/maintenance items at the Fellowship Hall and parsonage.
Wednesdays, 10-2, yoga class will meet in the Fellowship Hall for eight weeks.
Dee reported for treasurer Dan Corcoran on various special offerings/expenditures from the last few weeks: Human Relations Day, $125; special offerings for Paschals, $360; fee for four teens to attend the Westside Weekend Cedaredge; Tsunami relief efforts, $1,136 (to be matched by the church).
WON Team: Easter events generally: No Joyful Noise the week of Easter, but there will be a Maundy Thursday service, an ecumenical service Easter morning (with the Baptists and possibly others), no Easter breakfast but there will be an Easter egg hunt.
Pastor’s Report: The Thursday evening book group is wrapping up the current book. The next book topic will be on the fruits of the spirit. Craig will be out of town Monday and Tuesday to attend a funeral.
Dee is planning to get a newsletter out by next Sunday, if possible. Give her any information you would like included by e-mail or phone call.
