WON Team: Lent begins March 5 and we are hosting the first of the evening Lenten services. March 1 will be Ash Wednesday service will be at 7 p.m.
March 12 – Deadline to commit to New Orleans mission trip. There will be a meeting at 1 p.m. March 12 at the Dolores church. $100 deposit per person is due at that meeting. Approximate dates are June 5-15 for those driving.
All-day lay speaker training will be at Cortez UMC February 25.
Parents’ Night Out will be Friday, February 24, 6:30-9 p.m.
Mancos Valley summer brochure ad is due again. After brief discussion, we decided to buy a quarter-page ad for $130. Barb made a motion to buy a quarter-page ad for $130. Dan seconded. Motion passed.
Barb C. will confirm a date with Marge Garrett and Vergie Edwards for a service honoring their work for the church.
Game night will be Saturday, March 25, 7 p.m.
Parents’ Night Out will be Friday, February 24, 6:30-9 p.m.
Craig has been brainstorming ways to make membership and/or participation in the church more meaningful. He asked for any feedback or ideas people might have in that regard.
Financial Report: Dan C. reported we had $3,720 income, expenses $5,852. No Wachovia funds were transferred, making for an actual shortfall of $1,568. He emphasized this is nothing to panic about for many reasons, including the fact this is only one month’s reporting and not an overall trend.
