Clay opened the meeting.
Board of Trustees: Linda Walters reported for the Trustees on various unfinished projects that need our attention including: siding on parsonage garage, fence at parsonage, leak in roof above restrooms in Fellowship Hall, shelves and garbage disposal in kitchen.
WON Team: Soup kitchen will begin Saturday, February 7. This is being run by a group of community members. They will prepare the food Saturday morning and serve from 12:00-1:00. The lunch is open to all. Our church’s role is simply donating use of our facilities. They are accepting donations of food as well. The group is planning for a six-month run then assessing how it’s going at that time.
Lenten Revival services were briefly discussed. Jean will be attending a meeting in a couple of weeks when the places for each service will be determined.
Taize services will continue February 2, March 1, and April 4.
Dana P. offered an article for the newsletter about Lighthouse Kids.
Linda will also include in the next newsletter a copy of an article “The Concern Out Of Which We Minister” to help the congregation decide our priorities for a half-time minister.
Clay adjourned the meeting at 11:46. The next Work of the Church session will be February 29.
